Live music at 620 Loft & Garden, Rockefeller Center.
Solo violin, jazz piano, and DJ + live violin at the rooftop garden atop 620 Fifth Avenue — corporate cocktail receptions, brand launches, private dinners, and open-air weddings above St. Patrick's Cathedral.
The garden, the loft, and how the music sits in each.
620 has two distinct spaces on the same floor: the enclosed Loft with its skylight and clean modern lines, and the Garden Terrace open to the view down Fifth Avenue and across to the Cathedral. Music has to work in both — an acoustic solo violin during Garden Terrace arrivals reads as intimate, then transitions inside for a seated dinner in the Loft where jazz piano fits under conversation, then the room opens back out for a hybrid DJ + live violin reception under the New York evening sky.
Formats that fit 620.
Rooftop weddings — solo violin for ceremonies on the Garden Terrace. Battery-powered PA scaled to the outdoor space; weather-plan flexibility built into the booking.
Corporate cocktail receptions — the most-booked 620 configuration. Solo violin or jazz piano across the whole reception, or split between the Terrace and Loft spaces. Julie coordinates directly with the 620 event staff on positioning and PA needs.
Brand launches and press events — original score composed to the client's product video and performed live to the screen if the event includes a keynote or reveal moment. See the immersive synced format.
Private dinners in the Loft — jazz piano at conversation-level volume. Julie brings her own keyboard rig; 620 staff does not need to arrange piano access.
Rooftop logistics.
620 is on the 20th floor above 5th Avenue with a service elevator that requires timed access coordinated through 620's own events team. Julie plans load-in windows around the venue's freight schedule and stays out of the way of caterer and florist deliveries. For outdoor Garden Terrace configurations, she brings battery-powered amplification and wireless microphones so no cables cross the Terrace.
