I'm a violinist, pianist, vocalist, producer and composer. I build the performance around what your event is actually for. That might be an original score written to your product video and performed live in sync with it, a set at MoMA that moves from Bach to Wu-Tang without losing the room, or unobtrusive instrumental music for a client dinner where the conversation is the point. I work with in-house AV and production teams, and I'm comfortable on a large stage with a full production behind me.

Original score, performed live to your screen.

For product launches, brand activations and keynotes, I compose original music to your video content and perform it live, synced to the screen behind me. The music isn't running alongside your brand moment. It is the brand moment.

Usually two or three featured moments across an evening, built with your production team from your existing assets or scored from scratch. Your AV lead and I work out the cue points and the run of show in advance, so on the night it's locked.

Formats

A note on fit. If what you need is three hours of unobtrusive background music and nothing more, I'm likely not the best use of your entertainment budget, and I'd rather tell you now than after a quote. What I'm built for is events where the music is meant to be a moment people remember.

Insurance
Certificate of insurance available on request, with your venue named as additional insured.
Paperwork
W-9 on file. Invoicing and purchase orders welcome, net 30 available. All contracts through Julie Schatz Music LLC.
Technical
Rider and stage plot available to download. I work with in-house AV and production, and I'll join a production call before your event to walk through load-in, cue points and run of show.
Backup
Professional-grade playback and redundant equipment.
