Live music at The Museum of Modern Art.
Solo violin, jazz piano, and DJ + live violin at MoMA — corporate galas, private client dinners, membership events, and after-hours receptions across the gallery spaces, the Sculpture Garden, and the Founders Room.
A room where the art is already the loudest thing.
MoMA event spaces read differently from any hotel or private club. The art is the room. Music has to sit inside it without asking guests to divert attention from what they came to look at. Julie's default on a MoMA booking is solo violin during arrivals and cocktail hour in the Sculpture Garden or the atrium, jazz piano transitioning into seated dinner, and a DJ + live violin format for after-dinner dancing where the volume genuinely matters — the Museum is precise about sound levels near the works.
Formats that fit MoMA.
Sculpture Garden receptions — Solo violin during warm-weather cocktail arrivals in the Garden. Battery-powered PA sized to the outdoor space, wireless setup so nothing crosses the paths visitors are moving through.
Atrium and gallery-floor cocktails — Solo violin or jazz piano at conversation level. Julie brings her own keyboard rig; Museum staff does not need to arrange piano access.
Seated dinners — Jazz piano at low volume across dinner service. Coordinated with the Museum's catering partner on positioning and cue timing.
After-dinner dancing and receptions — DJ + live violin, full sound and lighting scaled to the room, with pre-event AV coordination through the Museum's events team.
MoMA-specific logistics.
MoMA event bookings run through the Museum's in-house events office with tight coordination on load-in windows (the Museum operates around public hours), positioning near or away from specific works, and sound-level thresholds by gallery. Julie coordinates directly with the events team, provides the technical rider in advance, and issues a certificate of insurance naming the Museum as additional insured within 48 hours of a request.

Investment.
Corporate engagements at The Museum of Modern Art begin at $3,000 and are quoted individually based on format, duration, guest count, and production requirements. MoMA is a corporate/private event venue; wedding bookings are rare here and follow the corporate quote pattern.
